The formatting of this <br /> report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, EHD Soil Suitability Study <br /> Requirements Checklist, dated September 25, 2007, and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements <br /> Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.0 SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> 1.1 Introduction and Development <br /> The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether site soils are suitable for <br /> septic system usage. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9- <br /> 1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet absorption rates as specified by San Joaquin <br /> County, Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (EHD). A review of published <br /> soil information, geologic maps, and groundwater information was also performed. <br /> 1.1.1 Site Description <br /> The site is located on an approximately 0.27-acre tract of land (APN 173-090-32) located at 3413 <br /> Section Avenue, Stockton, California, San Joaquin County, California.. The site primarily consists <br /> of vacant land covered with dry seasonal vegetation. A concrete pad is located on the central <br /> western portion of the site and an apparent concrete foundation was observed on the central <br /> eastern portion of the site with gravel observed in the area. Approximately two east west oriented <br /> concrete retaining walls are located on the northern portion of the site. The northern portion of <br /> the site slopes northward toward Mormon Slough. The adjoining eastern, western, and southern <br /> properties consist of residences and/or vacant land. <br /> Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 3 <br />
