Reviewing the manifest on site today, Safety Kleen has removed a series of waste, <br />unusable and unknown chemicals from all over the plant after accessing and reviewing chemicals over <br />the next three month period. Walk-thru of facility demonstrated release of hazardous waste has been <br />minimized, no waste stored in damaged containers, and housekeeping is improved. <br />-Compliant C00034265 of corroded holding tank has been dismantled and removed. <br />Class II/ Repeat Violation: # 108, 404, 605 <br />108. Failed to determine if waste is a hazardous waste. Several light housing with ballast still attached to <br />its structure is found stored horizontally in a metal bin outdoors adjacent to the waste oil tank. Light <br />housing is no longer usable and it is unclear how long it has been stored in the metal bin. Immediately <br />make a hazardous waste determination for the no longer used light housing and ballast and manage it <br />according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a written statement and supporting <br />documentation explaining how these waste ballasts was managed. <br />ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE <br />
