is <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> i <br /> This report presents the results of the April 2002 groundwater monitoring activities <br /> i conducted at the former Safeway Meat Packing Plant located at 1111 Navy Drive in <br /> Stockton, California (the Site) A Site location map and Site vicinity map are presented <br /> as Figures 1 and 2 <br />' Zacky Farms currently conducts meat-processing operations at the Site The <br /> monitoring was performed as requested in the April 4, 2002 letter from the San Joaquin <br />' County Environmental Health Department (EHD) directing Safeway to collect <br /> groundwater samples from three groundwater monitoring wells at the Site Prior to <br /> conducting the field work, GeoTrans met Mr Dennis Miller, a Safeway engineering <br />' consultant, on-site to discuss the Site history and groundwater conditions in the area <br /> The purpose of this sampling event was to document groundwater conditions beneath <br /> an area of the Site where a former diesel fuel release occurred Groundwater was last <br /> sampled at the Site in March 1995 Prior to that, groundwater was last sampled in <br /> November 1994 <br /> During this sampling event monitoring well MW-6, located within the roadway on the <br /> . south side of Navy Drive, was located and the vault box repaired Well MW-6 had been <br /> paved over by the City of Stockton during road resurfacing activities sometime after <br /> March 1995 <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> GeoTrans,,n, <br />
