Quarterly Site Status Report
Beacon Station 696 - Lodi , California
Page 2
RESULT OF QUARTERLY MONITORING:
Ground-water samples from MW-20 (southeast corner of property)
and MW-36 (eastern boundary, of the property) show BTEX levels
within State MCLs. Water from MW-34 (southern boundary of the
property) shows 12 ppb benzene and water from MW-35 (western
site boundary) shows 1 .4 ppb benzene. These data suggest that
hydrocarbon previously detected in ground-water samples from
monitoring wells at the site has been attenuated by the soil
and are now present in the vadose zone (unsaturated zone)
beneath the site.
Ground-water potentiometric surface elevation data indicates
that ground-water flow is toward the south to southwest.
PROPOSED ACTIVITY OR WORK FOR NEXT UARILR:
ACTIVITY ESTPMATED COMPLETION DATE
Abandon dry offsite monitoring wells
located south and east of the site.
These wells show no elevated hydrocarbon
vapor concentrations and are not needed
for vapor extraction. The wells are
located on property slated for shopping center
development July 1991
a
Receive Authority To Construct from
APCD and initiate catalytic oxidation
vapor extraction July 1991
Perform Third Quarter ground-water
monitoring event July 1991
