RESNA <br /> SITE SAFETY PLAN <br /> 1 <br /> ❑ Heat Stress Symptoms. <br />' ✓ Heat Cramps- Muscular pains and spasms <br /> of Heat Exhaustion Cool, pale, moist skin, heavy sweating, dilated <br /> pupils, headache, nausea, dizziness, vomiting, <br />' near normal body temperature <br /> ✓ Heat Stroke Hot, red skin, very small pupils, high body <br /> temperature, reduced sweating <br /> Mitigation. Cool place for breaks <br /> Monitor personnel using pulse rate and/or blood pressure, body temperature take frequent <br /> breaks in shaded area Unzip or remove PPE during breaks and results of personnel monitoring <br /> Provide drinking water and/or electrolyte replacement drink Record the time and duration of all <br /> breaks and results of personnel monitoring. Heat stroke victims must receive emergency <br />' medical care <br />' ❑ Hypothermia/Frostbite Symptoms: <br /> V Hypothermia. Shivering, apathy, loss of consciousness, <br /> decreasing pulse and breathing rate <br /> 1 Frostbite White, then grayish yellow progressing to <br /> grayish blue skin, cold, numb part. <br /> Mitigation: Wear multilayer cold weather outfits covered by a wind resistant fabric Take <br />' frequent breaks in a warm, sheltered area Provide warm non-alcoholic drinks For frostbite <br /> victims warm inured part gradually, do not rub' Warm hypothermia victims and transport to <br /> emergency medical care <br />' ❑ Underground/Overhead Utilities (show location of utilities on site map) <br /> How were underground utilities identified?
