Spill Response Action <br /> Minor Spill (Spill less than 55 Gallons) <br /> 1. Upon observing the spill, the personnel on the scene will immediately <br /> notify the Supervisor or Emergency Coordinator and take emergency <br /> remedial action to mitigate the spill damage if it is safe to do so. <br /> 2. In case Emergency Coordinator is not available than the Supervisor will <br /> handle all the emergency related duties. <br /> 3. Emergency Coordinator will shut off any source of ignition only if it is safe <br /> to do. <br /> 4. The Emergency Coordinator will utilize the Warehouse personnel to <br /> contain the spill as much as possible by diking the spill with the absorbent <br /> material and blocking the spill advance to drains only if it is safe to do. <br /> 5. Emergency Coordinator will assess if the spill is minor and is below the <br /> reportable quantity. <br /> 6. The area of the spill will be cordoned off. <br /> 7. The Emergency Coordinator will review the SDS of the material. <br /> 8. Spill control equipment will be brought out to the scene. <br /> 9. Leaky container such as drum, pail, and tote bin will be closed off. <br /> 6 <br />
