If a worker shows signs of heat stress or exhaustion <br />(elevated pulse, dizziness, or nausea), he/she will be temporarily relieved <br />of his field duties and allowed to rest under the observation of the SSO. <br />If his condition does not improve, he will be transported to the local <br />hospital for treatment. <br />1 6.5.7 Prohibited activities <br />The following activities are prohibited during the course of field work, <br />except in designated areas outside the work area: <br />• Eating, drinking, smoking, chewing gum or tobacco, or any activity that <br />might increase probability of hand-to-mouth transfer and ingestion of <br />material <br />• Ignition of flammable materials <br />Onsite consumption of alcohol or other nonprescription drugs is prohibited at <br />all times. No one shall be allowed onsite who is under the influence of <br />alchohol or other nonprescription drugs. <br />6.5.8 Decontamination procedures <br />All personnel and equipment used within the drilling zone will be <br />decontaminated before leaving the site. A decontamination area will be set <br />' up for steam cleaning the drilling augers. Steam -clean water will be <br />retained and stored in a Baker tank for subsequent analysis and disposal. <br />' All sampling equipment will be washed with water and trisodium phosphate <br />or Alconox. <br />iPersonnel decontamination procedures for this investigation are as follows: <br />• Wash boots, outer gloves <br />• Remove outer gloves <br />• Wash inner gloves <br />• Remove and wipe respirators <br />• Remove Tyvek coveralls <br />• Remove inner gloves and boots <br />1 3542a/BAV102 36 <br />
