Program Plan
Revision 6
1/8/1988
1. E® RATORIES ZLALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM POLICY
In the area of environmental analysis, any result from the simplest to
the most complicated analytical test represents potential environmental,
S. economic or social impact. Hence the validity of all data generated must
be demonstrated by documenting the complete sample analysis process.
Analysts must generate data so that it can withstand scientific and legal
scrutiny.
In the general QA program being practiced in the laboratory and
specific project QA programs, Eureka Laboratories, Inc. (ELI) is committed
to generating data of high quality with documented validity, defensible in
legal proceedings involving State and Federal regulatory agencies. The QA
Pro9=' management ement team will ensure that the quality of data generated in
g
each project meets the project requirements.
2. 2A FUNCTION ORGANIZATION
The Laboratory Director, Dr. Steven Leung, oversees the complete QA
function. He is ably supported by key QA personnel; Analysis Coordinator,
rQC Officer, and Data Manager/Sample Custodian. The attached chart
describes the QA function within a project organization.
' 3. gA FUNCTION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Laboratory Director is responsible for the final control and
assurance of data quality. He ensures that the proper instrument,
material, and personnel are available to meet specific project
requirements. The finalization of all QA work plans comes from him.
0
P
