The 55 gallon drum of HW absorbent was did not indicate which hazardous property. The 55 gallon <br /> drum of HW aerosols did not indicate which physical state. All hazardous waste containers shall be <br /> marked with the following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> 2. name and address of generator <br /> 3. hazardous properties <br /> 4. physical state <br /> 5. composition (contents) <br /> 6. accumulation start date <br /> Employee labeled these containers during the inspection. Continue to ensure that all hazardous waste <br /> containers are marked with all the required information. A copy of the HW label example was provided. <br /> Class II repeat violation. <br /> 85. The universal waste(UW) disposal records for UW electronics are incomplete and the UW disposal <br /> records for the UW batteries are not available. A UW handler shall keep a record of each shipment of <br /> UW sent from the UW handler's facility to another facility. The record may take the form of a log, invoice, <br /> manifest, bill of lading or other shipping document. The record for each shipment of UW sent shall <br /> include the following information: <br /> (1) The name and address of the UW handler or destination facility to which the UW was sent; <br /> (2) The quantity [count or weight, consistent with, for example, section 66273.32, subsection (d)] of each <br /> type of UW sent (e.g., batteries, thermostats, lamps, electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass); <br /> (3) The date of departure of the shipment of UW. <br /> A UW handler shall retain each record for at least three years. Minor-Notice to Comply. <br /> Note. The following items were corrected on site: <br /> 79. The box of UW lamps was left open. A UW handler shall manage lamps in a way that prevents <br /> releases of any UW or component of a UW to the environment. a UW handler shall contain any lamp in <br /> a container or package that is structurally sound, adequate to prevent breakage, and compatible with the <br /> contents of the lamp. Such a container or package shall remain closed and shall lack evidence of <br /> leakage or damage that could cause leakage under reasonably foreseeable conditions. Employee <br /> rearranged the UW lamps into the box and closed it. Corrected on site. <br /> 83. The UW batteries were only labeled as batteries.
