The 55 gallon drum of HW absorbent was did not indicate which hazardous property. The 55 gallon drum of HW aerosols did not indicate which physical state. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: 1. the words "Hazardous Waste" 2. name and address of generator 3. hazardous properties 4. physical state 5. composition (contents) 6. accumulation start date Employee labeled these containers during the inspection. Continue to ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required information. A copy of the HW label example was provided. Class II repeat violation. 85. The universal waste(UW) disposal records for UW electronics are incomplete and the UW disposal records for the UW batteries are not available. A UW handler shall keep a record of each shipment of UW sent from the UW handler's facility to another facility. The record may take the form of a log, invoice, manifest, bill of lading or other shipping document. The record for each shipment of UW sent shall include the following information: (1) The name and address of the UW handler or destination facility to which the UW was sent; (2) The quantity [count or weight, consistent with, for example, section 66273.32, subsection (d)] of each type of UW sent (e.g., batteries, thermostats, lamps, electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass); (3) The date of departure of the shipment of UW. A UW handler shall retain each record for at least three years. Minor-Notice to Comply. Note. The following items were corrected on site: 79. The box of UW lamps was left open. A UW handler shall manage lamps in a way that prevents releases of any UW or component of a UW to the environment. a UW handler shall contain any lamp in a container or package that is structurally sound, adequate to prevent breakage, and compatible with the contents of the lamp. Such a container or package shall remain closed and shall lack evidence of leakage or damage that could cause leakage under reasonably foreseeable conditions. Employee rearranged the UW lamps into the box and closed it. Corrected on site. 83. The UW batteries were only labeled as batteries. A UW handler shall label or mark UW to identify ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE($122).
