E <br />v <br />2. During the inspection, areas where hazardous substances may be present <br />should be checked for releases. These areas include: <br />A. glycol reboilers <br />B. contactor towers <br />C. glycol storage tanks <br />D. production fluids storage tanks <br />E. transformers <br />F. battery rooms <br />G. intake scrubbers <br />H. generator areas <br />I. compressor areas <br />J. platform sumps and drains <br />3. If a hazardous substance release is discovered during the course of an <br />inspection, follow the release response procedures contained in Section 5 of <br />the facility's Hazardous Material Business Plan. <br />4. If a release occurs within a secondary containment area, ensure that the <br />secondary containment area isolation valve remains closed to prevent the <br />release from reaching the OS. <br />5. Close valves on platform drain lines in the vicinity of a release that could lead <br />to the OWS. Do not flush released hazardous substances into platform <br />storm drains or drains that are piped to the OWS. <br />6. If hazardous substances are inadvertently introduced into the OWS in <br />quantities that could render the influent hazardous, take the following steps: <br />A. Isolate the source of hazardous substances to prevent further introduction <br />into the OWS <br />B. Isolate the affected OWS tank(s) by closing inlet and outlet valves <br />C. Inform the facility foreman <br />D. Collect a sample from the influent line and affected OWS tank(s) <br />E. Rinse the affected OWS tank(s) <br />F. Contact the Environmental Monitor to arrange for proper waste disposal <br />
