15 February 2016 AdvancedGeo
AGE Project No. 12-2181 Environmental
All problems regarding ASTs, piping, containment, or response equipment are
immediately reported to the Coordinator. Visible oil leaks from AST walls, piping, or
other components are repaired as soon as possible to prevent a larger spill or a
discharge to navigable waters or adjoining shorelines. Pooled oil is removed
immediately upon discovery.
Monthly inspections are documented and records are signed by the Coordinator and
maintained with this Plan for a period of at least three years, unless otherwise noted.
3.7.3. Annual Inspection
Facility personnel perform a more thorough inspection of Facility equipment on an
annual basis. This annual inspection complements the monthly inspection described
above and is performed once each year using the checklist provided in Appendix B of
this Plan.
The annual inspection is preferably performed after a large storm event in order to verify
the imperviousness and/or proper functioning of drainage control systems such as the
Berm, rollover berm, control valves, and the oil/water separator.
Written annual inspection records are signed by the Coordinator and maintained with
this Plan for a period of at least three years, unless otherwise noted.
3.7.4. Periodic Integrity Testing
In addition to the above monthly and annual inspections by Facility personnel, Facility
Management adheres to regulatory requirement for STI — AST and waste oil drums
handling requirements (new drums requirements). AST testing is documented in
Appendix F.
3.7.5. Personnel, Training, and Discharge Prevention Procedures (40 CFR 112.7(f))
The Coordinator is responsible for oil discharge prevention, control, and response
preparedness activities at the Facility.
Facility management has instructed oil-handling Facility personnel in the operation and
maintenance of oil pollution prevention equipment, discharge procedure protocols,
applicable pollution control laws, rules and regulations, general Facility operations, and
the content of the Plan, as necessary. Any new Facility personnel with oil-handling
responsibilities are provided with this same training prior to being involved in any oil
operation.
