They are free flowing mixtures of powdered <br />and granular components. They are used as water solutions to control wildland fires. Grades D -75F <br />and D -75R contain pigments which give them a reddish color. Grade D -75W is uncolored. <br />As proprietary mixtures, PHOS-CHEK fire retardants have no CAS numbers. All components of the <br />mixtures appear on the Inventory of Chemical Substances published by the U.S. Environmental Protec- <br />tion Agency. <br />DOT Hazard Class: These products are not classified as hazardous materials by the U.S. <br />Department of Transportation <br />Label Requirements: Product Label <br />Reportable Quantity (RQ) <br />Under Clean Water Act <br />Regulations: Not Listed <br />U.S. Surface Freight <br />Classification: Fire Extinguisher Compounds, N.O.I.B.N. <br />PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES AND FIRST AID <br />HANDLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOOD INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE AND SAFETY PRACTICES. <br />THESE PRACTICES INCLUDE AVOIDING UNNECESSARY CONTACT AND INHALATION OF DUST, <br />AND REMOVAL OF THE MATERIAL FROM THE EYES, SKIN AND CLOTHING.
