Quarterly Report - 152 East 11th Street, Tracy Page 2 <br /> • INTRODUCTION <br /> This status report is for the property at 152 East Eleventh Street, Tracy, California It <br /> covers the period from May 1, 1996 to July 31, 1996 <br /> The property was purchased by the current owners, Mr and Mrs Albert Navarra and Mr <br /> and Mrs Carl Navarra (the Navarras), before it was discovered that the subsurface <br /> beneath the site had been contaminated by gasoline that had leaked from underground <br /> storage tanks No activity involving the storage, dispensing or use of fuel hydrocarbons <br /> has been conducted on the property since it was purchased by the Navarras <br /> SITE LOCATION <br /> The subject site is situated at 152 East 11th Street, Tracy, California That location is <br /> shown on Figure 1 <br /> The locations of monitoring wells that have been installed on the site, on the site of <br /> Ultramar Inc 's Beacon Station at 153 East 11th Street and in surrounding areas are <br /> shown on Figure 2 The extent of the remedial excavation to remove contaminated soil <br /> --- - -----from beneath-the-1-5-2-East I-Ith-Strw-property-m-also-shown on_Figure-2,_together with <br /> groundwater-table contours that were calculated from measurements made on November <br /> 15, 1995 in the monitoring wells installed the Navarras <br /> SITE CODE <br /> The San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> (SJCPHS) has assigned this site <br /> SITE CODE 9021 <br /> ACTIVITY DURING THE REPORTING PERIOD <br /> Remediation <br /> During May 1996 work to place engineered backfill to the excavation that had been <br /> opened on the 152 East lith Street property to remove contaminated soil from the <br /> subsurface was completed Nuclear gauge testing of the relative density of the compacted <br /> fill performed by an independent quality assurance technician as the work progressed <br /> showed that it had been compacted to a density well in excess of that specified by the <br /> controlling corrective action plan (CAP) <br /> Following completion of the backfilling of the remedial excavation, the public sidewalk on <br /> the F Street frontage of the subject property that had, by necessity, been broken up during <br /> the excavation work was completely reconstructed according to the requirements and <br />
