5 <br /> Quarterly Report - 152 East 1 lth Street, Tracy Page 3 <br /> specifications of the City of Tracy Public Works Department That work was completed <br /> on July 17, 1996 and the remediation contractor returned control of the 152 East 11th <br /> Street site to the owners on the same day <br /> On June 03, 1996, following guidance from the SJCPHS that, in view of the findings made <br /> during the progress of the remedial excavation on the 152 East 11th Street property, it <br /> would not be necessary, and could be counterproductive, to pump groundwater from the <br /> remediated area, a notice requesting termination of authorization to temporarily discharge <br /> treated groundwater to the municipal storm water sewer under the terms of NPDES <br /> Permit CA0082929 and General Order No 92-15025 was transmitted to the Califorrua <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (CRWQCB) <br /> During the reporting period, the spread of soil laid out to aerate on fallow land at the soil <br /> treatment site off West Blewett Road in the rural Venalis district of San Joaquin County <br /> was periodically checked for visual and olfactory indicators of fuel hydrocarbons As <br /> judged necessary from time to time, the spread of soil was rototilled to accelerate aeration <br /> of any remaining traces of components of gasoline, and on one occasion, a bulldozer <br /> equipped with rippers was used break up wet soil that was wet when original placed in the <br /> treatment area, that had become compacted and then thoroughly dried in the hot weather <br /> that followed <br /> Shortly before the close of the reporting period, a check of the soil spread for treatment <br />• found no visual or olfactory indicators of the presence of components of gasoline <br /> Accordingly preparations were made to sample and test the treated soil to conform that it <br /> contained no detectable traces of any analytes of concern <br /> Engineering and Status Reports <br /> The following status report was completed during the reporting period and submitted to <br /> the SJCPHS <br /> 1 Quarterly States ReportFebruary 1, 1996 to April 30, 1996 - 152 East I Ith. <br /> Street. Tracy- California, Submitted June 08, 1996 § <br /> $ CopN transmitted to the California Regional Water Quality Control Board- Central Valley <br /> Region (CRWQCB) <br /> Engineering data related to the performance and results of the remedial action at the <br /> subject property were compiled and analyzed as they became available during the <br /> reporting period They are being incorporated into a report on remediation which will <br /> document the work that has been performed and the observations and data gathered <br /> during the progress of the work <br />
