Quarterly Report - 152 East 11th Street, Tracy Page 4 <br /> Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund <br /> As the present property owners, the Navarras applied to the California State Water <br /> Resources Control Board (CSWRCB) under the Petroleum Underground Storage Tank <br /> Cleanup Fund for a grant to meet the cost of investigating and remediating the site On <br /> December 29th 1994, the CSWRCB issued an initial Letter of Commitment for <br /> Reimbursement of Costs to the Navarras <br /> During the reporting period, two Standard Form Payment Requests with detailed <br /> supporting documentation were submitted the CSWRCB Two payments covering an two <br /> earlier request for reimbursement were received and the CSWRCB informed the Navarras <br /> that a third request had been processed and approved for payment <br /> WORK IN PROGRESS <br /> The following work is in progress <br /> Remediation <br /> A few days after the close of the reporting period to which this document pertains the <br /> spread-ofaerated soit at-the soli-treatment-stte-was-sampled-and-tested - t-contmned-no <br />. detectable traces of components of gasoline Shortly thereafter the ground beneath the <br /> area used to treat the soil excavated from beneath the 152 East 11th, Street property was <br /> also sampled and tested All sample recovered were similarly free of fuel hydrocarbons <br /> The clean, treated soil will be dozed into a stockpile and recycled in beneficial for <br /> agricultural purposes on the farm property where it is presently situated <br /> Report on Remediation <br /> Preparation of an engineering report that will document the remediation work performed <br /> at the 152 East l Ith Street site is at an advanced stage The report can be completed <br /> shortly after laboratory reports with the results of the final round of sampling and analysis <br /> of the aerated soil at the soil treatment site becomes available <br /> Closure <br /> The report on remediation that is currently being drafted will include a recommendation <br /> that the property owners submit a request to the SJCPHS and the CRWQCB for formal <br /> closure of the 152 East 11th Street property as the suspected site of an unauthorized <br /> release of fuel hydrocarbons into the subsurface If those agencies concur, a permit <br /> application will be made to the SJCPHS to grout and close the remaining groundwater <br /> monitoring wells that were installed in the area for the Navarras <br />
