Results of Groundwater Pumping Tests - 152 East I Ith Street, Tracy Page 2 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This report documents the results of groundwater pumping tests performed to evaluate the <br /> hydrogeological properties of soils underlying property at 152 East 11th Street, Tracy, <br /> California The site has been affected by release of gasoline from underground storage <br /> tanks that were formerly located on the property The pumping tests were performed <br /> pursuant to a request made by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS) <br /> SITE LOCATION <br /> The subject property is situated at No 152 East IIth Street, Tracy, California This <br /> location is shown on Figure I An area plan is presented as Figure 2 <br /> SITE CODE <br /> The SJCPHS has assigned this site SITE CODE 9021 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The property at 152 East 1 I th Street was operated as a gasoline station from <br /> approximately 1946 until 1978 Over that period, the station was operated by a number of <br /> entities that included Benny's Signal Service Station, Coffey's Signal Service Station, <br /> Bob's Enco Gas Station and Terrible Herbst Inc Terrible Herbst Inc installed one 10,000 <br /> gallon and two 3,000 gallon underground storage tanks in 1972 <br /> Mr and Mrs Carl Navarra and Mr and Mrs Albert Navarra (the Navarras) purchased the <br /> property in December 1978 from the San Diego Armour Oil Company No fuel dispensing <br /> or service station operations have been conducted on the site since that time The property <br /> is now occupied by Russel's Flower Pavilion <br /> In April 1984, the three tanks described above were removed from the site under the <br /> permit and oversight of the City of Tracy No soil or groundwater samples were taken at <br /> the time the tanks were removed <br /> GEOLOGY AND HYDROGEOLOGY <br /> The subject property and the surrounding area are situated on level terrain on the distal, <br /> northern slope of an alluvial fan The underlying alluvial sediments are of Quaternary to <br /> Recent age <br /> Logs of monitoring well borings on and in the area around the site indicate that the soils <br /> beneath the site include clays, silty clays, sandy clays, clays with gravel, sands, silty sands <br /> and sands with gravel These clastic materials are distributed in a complex lenticular <br />
