f <br /> Quarterly Report - 152 East 11th Street, Tracy Page 2 <br /> • INTRODUCTION <br /> This quarterly status and monitoring report is for the property at 152 East Eleventh Street, <br /> Tracy, California It covers the period from August I st , to October 31 st , 1993 <br /> Site Code <br /> The San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> (SJCPHS) have established the following identifier for the subject site <br /> Site Code 9021 <br /> Site Location <br /> The subject property is situated at No 152 East 11th Street, Tracy, California This <br /> location is shown on Figure 1 <br /> Background <br /> The property at 152 East 11th Street was operated as a gasoline station from <br /> approximately 1946 until 1978 Over that period, the station was operated by a number of <br /> entities that included Benny's Signal Service Station, Coffey's Signal Service Station, <br /> • Bob's Enco Gas Station and Terrible Herbst Inc Terrible Herbst Inc installed one 10,000 <br /> gallon and two 3,000 gallon underground storage tanks in 1972 <br /> Mr and Mrs Carl Navarra and Mr and Mrs Albert Navarra (the Navarras) purchased the <br /> property in December 1978 from the San Diego Armour Oil Company No fuel dispensing <br /> or service station operations have been conducted on the site since that time The property <br /> is now occupied by Russet's Flower Pavilion <br /> In April 1984, the three tanks described above were removed from the site under the <br /> permit and oversight of the City of Tracy No soil or groundwater samples were taken at <br /> the time the tanks were removed <br /> Investigations of subsurface contamination and groundwater quality at the 152 East 11th <br /> Street site have been undertaken under the direction of the California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (RWQCB) and the SJCPHS and are on- <br /> going A total of eight groundwater monitoring wells have ben installed for this site as part <br /> or the investigatory program The SJCPHS is currently acting as the lead agency having <br /> oversight of the property <br /> Directly north of the subject property (i e 152 East 11th Street), and across 11th Street, <br /> there is a Beacon station located at 153 East 11th Street The station is owned by <br /> Ultramar Inc (Ultramar) of Hanford, California <br />
