Quarterly Report - 152 East 11th Street, Tracy Page 2
• INTRODUCTION
This report contains the results of groundwater sampling performed at 152 East Eleventh
Street, Tracy, California on January 20th 1992 A summary of the current status of
investigations into the extent to which the site has been affected by loss of hydrocarbons
into the subsurface is also included
SITE LOCATION
The subject property is situated at No 152 East 11th Street, Tracy. California This
location is shown on Figure 1
GROUNDWATER MONITORING
Monitoring Wells
In March 1988, Four groundwater monitoring well were installed on the subject property
by WaterWork of Sacramento, California The locations of these wells are shown on
Figure 2 where they are identified as NAV 1 through NAV 4 The Figure also shows the
locations of other wells that have been installed to investigate groundwater conditions at
153 East Eleventh Street The latter site is located directly to the north and across the street
from the subject property and is occupied by a Beacon filling station owned by Ultramar
Inc of Hanford, California
Groundwater Sampling and Analysis
"On January 20th 1993 the depth to groundwater was measured in each of the four
groundwater monitoring wells on the site From these data, groundwater elevations were
computed relative to an arbitrary datum of 50 00 ft that was established by WaterWork on
the wellhead of Ultramar's Monrtonng Well No 7 which is located in the sidewalk of
North F Street on the east side of the Ultramar property at 153 East 11th Street (See
Figure 2) The groundwater elevation data is shown in Table 1 and groundwater elevation
contours interpreted therefrom are shown on Figure 3 The groundwater gradient beneath /
the 152 East 11th Street property is computed to be approximately 0 005 fl/fl to the north- ✓
northeast
Also on January 20th 1993, each of the four monitoring wells on the subject property was
purged and sampled Prior to sampling, each of the wells was equipped with a dedicated
banter The purge water was decanted into a 50 gallon drum The closed drum has been
stored on-site in a secured location
The samples recovered from the wells were decanted into clean glassware, labeled and
entered into chain-of-custody control prior to transport within three hours of recovery to
Chromalab Inc 's laboratory in San Ramon, California
