Quarterly Report - 152 East 11th Street, Tracy Page 3 <br /> Each groundwater sample was analyzed by Chromalab Inc for the following suite of <br /> analytes Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline by EPA Method 5030/8015, <br /> Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Total Xylenes (BTEX) by EPA Method 602, <br /> Ethanol by EPA Method 8015, Conductivity by Standard Method 110 1, and pH by EPA <br /> Method 9040 Chromalab Inc is certified by the State of California to conduct these <br /> analyses During the progress of the analysis, the laboratory encountered a quality control <br /> problem and requested additional samples Accordingly, each of the wells was resampled <br /> on January 22nd and samples were again recovered from wells NAV 3 and NAV 4 on <br /> February 3rd 1993 These supplementary samples were successfully analyzed in <br /> compliance with the laboratory's quality control procedures <br /> Copies of the Certificates of Analysis issued by the laboratory, together with a copy of the <br /> chain-of-custody and request-for-analysis form are attached as Appendix A <br /> The results of the sample analyses for petroleum hydrocarbon components are summarized <br /> in Table 2 No Ethanol was detected in any of the samples <br /> STATUS REPORT <br /> . The results of the groundwater sampling and analysis reported herem complete the <br /> scheduled groundwater monitoring activists for the subject site for the first quarter of 1993 <br /> Work in Progress <br /> As requested by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division, preparation of a workplan to further evaluate the extent to which soil and <br /> groundwater has been affected by releases of hydrocarbons at this site is currently in <br /> progress Proposed action will be based on evaluation of existing data from the borings <br /> and monitoring wells that have been installed on the subject property together with similar <br /> information from Ultramar Inc 's site at 153 East 11th Street, and other sites in the vicinity <br /> at which petroleum products are known to have leaked into the underground <br /> Records related to applicable sites have been obtained from San Joaquin County and <br /> Ultramar Inc (see below) This data will be used as the basis for an evaluation the likely <br /> extent to which soil and groundwater at the site has been affected by releases of <br /> petroleum products from on- or off-site sources and to assess the scope of any additional <br /> investigative effort that may be required <br /> Exchange of Data with Ultramar Inc <br /> Ultramar Inc has been contacted with respect to an exchange of data related to the sites at <br /> 153 East 11th Street They have provided a copy of the quarterly groundwater monitoring <br /> report for that site for the first quarter of 1992 It provides the results of a round of <br /> groundwater sampling from wells installed on and around their property that was <br /> conducted by Environmental Geotechnical Consultants on March 28, 1992 <br />
