Some oil was spilled next to the filter crushing machine and not yet cleaned up. Some oily debris is <br />on the slick floor next to the wall on the opposite of the air compressor. Some oil has spilled on the floor <br />of the pits of the oil change bays. Some oily debris is on the floor next to the ESOC machine. Facilities <br />shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous <br />waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately . <br />and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting <br />documentation explaining how this waste was managed by 7-22-11. Class II Repeat Violation. <br />18. The 55 gallon drum of hazardous waste oil contaminated solids had an accumulation start date of <br />2-10-11. This waste has been on site longer than 90 days. Hazardous waste generators that generate <br />more than 1,000kg/month (275gal/month) of hazardous waste must properly dispose of the hazardous <br />waste within 90 days the accumulation start date. Correct immediately by properly disposing of the <br />hazardous waste oil contaminated solids. Submit a copy of the disposal manifest to this office by <br />7-22-11. Continue to ensure that hazardous waste is properly disposed of within 90 days of the <br />accumulation start date. Minor -Notice to Comply. <br />20. Two 55 gallon drums of hazardous waste contaminated solids did not have marked the hazardous <br />properties. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties <br />4. physical state <br />5. composition (contents) <br />6. accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all <br />the required information. Class II Repeat Violation. <br />79. The box of Universal Waste(UW) lamps was left open. A UW handler shall manage lamps in a way <br />that prevents releases of any UW or component of a UW to the environment. A UW handler shall contain <br />any lamp in a container or package that is structurally sound, adequate to prevent breakage, and <br />compatible with the contents of the lamp. Such a container or package shall remain closed and shall <br />lack evidence of leakage or damage that could cause leakage under reasonably foreseeable conditions. <br />Correct immediately by managing UW lamps in a closed compatible container.
