Hazardous waste container storage <br /> and transfer areas shall be inspected weekly for leaking containers and for deterioration of containers and the <br /> containment system caused by corrosion and other factors. Immediately begin conducting the necessary weekly <br /> inspections for all hazardous waste containers at this facility. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> A green, five gallon container was found on site holding kitty litter with a hazardous waste label.The hazardous <br /> waste label was missing the content and hazardous properties. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with <br /> the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition(contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> The operator added the missing information to the labeled of the green five gallon container while the inspector was <br /> on site to correct the violation. Ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. <br /> This was corrected on site. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by May 29th, 2019. <br /> Documents provided: class schedule, hazardous waste sample label. <br /> Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
