Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201 ENVIRONMENTAL HCAL H
PERMIT/SERVICES
Re: Blockbuster Video/Yellow Submarine Site, 140 West Harding Avenue,
Stockton, California
Dear Mike,
Enclosed please find revised quarterly ground water monitoring reports for the third and
fourth quarters of 1992. The original reports for these periods were dated October 28,
1992, and February 17, 1992, respectively.
The collar elevations of monitoring wells MW-2 and MW-3 were transposed in Table 1 of
the October 28, 1992 report and this error was carried over to the February 17, 1993,
report. Consequently, the ground water gradient maps for these reports are not valid.
However, it is important to note that the ground water gradient map for the third quarter
of 1992, which was included in the report dated November 24, 1992, and entitled
"Monitoring Well Installation" is correct.
The ground water gradient for the third quarter of 1992 sloped to the southwest.
However, the gradient determined for the last quarter of 1992 had again returned to a
slope to the northeast, which was the pattern for the first quarter of 1992 and the third
quarter of 1991. (Ground water measurements were first taken in September, 1991.) No
measurements were taken in the fourth quarter of 1991 or the second quarter of 1992.
The original ground water monitoring report for the third quarter of 1992 inadvertently
contained the analytical data and chain of custody sheet for the third quarter of 1992. The
revised report includes the correct analytical data and chain of custody. Nevertheless,
water samples from all of the wells still remain "none detected" for all analytes.
I am also enclosing copies of the field notes for the September, 1991, sampling event, as
you requested. If you have any additional questions regarding this project, please do not
hesitate to give me a call..
Sincerely,
j n, ,
Rods R. Grunwald
Registered Geologist
enclosures
