WiF recommended Re Excavation as the means of performing this <br /> investigation. <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCMMONAND HISTORY <br /> This site is located at 140 W. Harding Ave. in Stockton, Ca!ffornia. The Assessors <br /> Parcel numbers are 137-07-051 through 137-07-053. The site is square in shape, and is <br /> approximately 113 of an acre in size. <br /> There are two buildings on the site at this time, one is vacaxetwthe other is the Yellow <br /> Submarine sandwich shop. <br /> The site was previously occupied by an Exxon Service Station. On February 5; 1974 <br /> the Stockton Fire Department records indicated that four underground tanks were <br /> removed. The tanks consisted of one 4,000 Gallon fuel tank, two 3,000 gallon tanks <br /> and one 550 gallon waste oil tank. The tank excavations were backfilled, and no <br /> T' evidence of soil sampling at the time of removal was discovered. <br /> The topography of the site is flat, and the neighborhood is a commercial residential <br /> mix. <br /> In June of 1990 Village Properties engaged Youngdahl and Associates to perform an <br /> Environmental Assessment of the; property, a copy of which was submitted to the Sar. <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. <br /> Youngdahl made 13 Borings and logged these borings, they also took soil sam?les. <br /> Borings were made in the former fuel tank Iocation, the fonner waste oil tank area, and <br /> the former fiiel island-area. '-C6ntarns 6111 was found-in the area of the waste ori-ta�. <br /> at 5.5 feet, the contarninant was oil and grease, the level found was 2,200 mg/kg. The <br />
