All <br /> densities shall be expressed as a relative compaction in terms of <br /> M the maximum dry density determined in the laboratory by the <br /> foregoing standard procedure. <br /> 3.1 Clearin nubbin and re arin areas to be filled <br /> F� 3.11 All vegetative matter and organic topsoil shall be removed <br /> from all structural areas. The depth of organic topsoil to be <br /> removed will be determined in the field by the Geotechnical <br /> Engineer, but, in general, will vary from 0 to 2 inches. <br /> 3.12 All soil deemed soft or unsuitable by the Geotechnical <br /> Engineer scall be removed. <br /> 3.13 All underground structures shall be removed from the site <br /> such as old foundations, abandoned pipe lines, septic tanks and T-- -- <br /> leach fields. <br /> 23 <br />
