In a telephone
conversation with Treadwell and Rollo on April 19,2004, EHD agrees to the placement of
ORC at quantity not over 500 pounds. (Please also see fax memorandum dated April 20,
2004 from Treadwell& Rollo) Although no site with similar geology in San Joaquin County.
has been remediated and successfully closed by the use of ORC,EHD agrees that there is
potential benefit in the remediation of the remaining impacted soil and groundwater below
the bottom of proposed excavation. EHD requests that the ORC be mixed into a slurry .
before placing into the bottom of the excavation at locations where contamination is noted,
instead of being mixed with the pea gravel backfill material.
DATED April 20,2004 BY
C'.
