TreadwelOW10 <br /> SOIL AND GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION RESULTS <br /> AND REMEDIATION WORKPLAN <br /> CARANDO SITE <br /> 420 NORTH MADISON STREET <br /> Stockton, California <br /> 10 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report presents the results of the soil and groundwater investigation and a remediation <br /> workplan for the Carando Machine Works Site at 420 North Madison Street (Figures 1 & 2) <br /> jThe City of Stockton (City) recently purchased the Site, and Treadwell & Rollo was retained by <br /> the City to conduct a soil and groundwater investigation <br /> The objectives of this investigation were to conduct a field investigation to help delineate the <br /> J g g p <br /> source and extent of previously identified petroleum hydrocarbon soil and groundwater impacts <br /> at the Site, and to gather data to determine an appropriate remediation method for the Site <br /> ITreadwell & Rollo prepared a 23 December 2003 workplan for Site describing this investigation <br /> (Treadwell &Rollo 2003), which was approved on 9 January 2004 by the San Joaquin County <br /> 1 Environmental Health Department <br /> This report presents the following <br /> 1 Our findings regarding previous site uses and investigations <br /> 2 Sampling and laboratory analytical methods used during our subsurface investigations <br /> ' 3 Results of the subsurface investigation <br /> 4 A workplan for remedial work <br />
