(AGE) has prepared this summary of work to <br /> be performed following the close of escrow at the above-referenced.properties. Following is a brief <br /> a <br /> summary: y <br /> • The fenced remediation enclosure located on the 424 North Van Buren Street (Van Buren) <br /> property will be enlarged to accomodate a future ground water pump and treat system and <br /> to provide storage space for purge water storage drums utilized for the 423 North Madison <br /> Street(Madison) property and the Van Buren site. Additionally,privacy slats will be placed <br /> in the existing security fence in use at the site. The slats will be installed to provide asthetic, <br /> as well as security, improvments to the enclosure. Figure 1 provides' the location and <br /> dimensions of the improved enclosure to be completed no later than 15 October.2 00 1. <br /> • Following the 14 November 2001 ground water monitoring event,all purge water containers i <br /> utilized for the Madison :property and the Van Buren property will be(stored within the k <br /> fenced remediation enclosure located on the Van Buren property.All purge water drums will <br /> be clearly marked as non-hazardous. Any drums identified as belonging to AGEand not <br /> utilized for purge water storage will be removed from the site. <br /> + Existing ground water monitoring wells,ground water extraction wells and air spar-ging wells <br /> will be clearly marked prior to demolition of the structures and former parking areas located <br /> on the Madison and Van Buren properties. As discussed during our 13 September 2001 ; <br /> meeting, a two-foot by two-foot square of the existing foundation or pavement surrounding C <br /> the wells will be preserved. This will allow demolition of the structures and former parking <br /> areas without modifying the wells,which would require additional, and possibly significant, !, <br /> cost. <br /> C <br />
