(AGE) <br /> Philip Smith and David Dixon, Treadwell & Rollo <br /> Laurie Cotuila, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department;(SJCEHD) *� <br /> REQUIRED INFORMATION DISCLOSURE FOR CHASE PROPERTIES AT <br /> 423 NORTH MADISON AND 424 NORTH VAN BUREN, ST,OCKTON, CA <br /> This letter is intended to recap and verify my understanding of the Septerriber 1, 2000 <br /> meeting amongst the above-referenced parties regarding contamination of properties • <br /> located at 423 North Madison and 424 North Van Buren, Stockten, California ("Chase <br /> Sites"). <br /> As was discussed at this meeting, the City of Stockton is seriously considering the <br /> previous offer by the Chase property owners to accept their donation of the Madison <br /> Street property and their offer to sell the Van Buren Street property to,'the City. <br /> However, prior to committing to this action, the City must complete its due diligence <br /> within the given time frame or dead Iirle.jmpposed by the Chase owners (December 31, <br /> 2000). " <br /> Furthermore, it is my understanding that the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (SJCEHD) is overseeing both sites, while Treadwell & Rollo, the City's <br /> consultant, is evaluating the status of the characterization and remediation activities at <br /> these and other North Shope sites on behalf of the City. Completing the environmental <br /> evaluations is required for our due diligence process, as it would be for any <br /> knowledgeable party acquiring sites with significant known soil and groundwater <br /> contamination.
