Work Plan Addendum - November 1997 <br /> Former CHASE CHEVROLET - MADISON Tacility <br /> 423 North Madison Street, Stockton, California <br /> .1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OFWORK- <br /> In accordance with therequest of Mr. Jeffery` Setness of Hartmann & :Setness, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmentai, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this Work-Plan Addendum for additional assessment " <br /> of impacted soil and ground water near the former location of underground storage tank(UST)No. <br /> �= 8 at 423 North Madison Street, Stockton,California. <br /> The proposed scope.of work includes advancement of three soil probe borings and collection of soil. <br /> r� and grab water samples. The site location is illustrated on Figure I - Location Mcip. Structures, <br /> existing and"proposed soil probe boring locations and monitoring well locations on the site are <br /> illustrated on Figure 2 Site Plan. Background information was summarized. in the Revised <br /> *-" Corrective Action Plan - February 1997 and previous,Quarterly Reports prepared by AGE. <br /> This work plan addendum was prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services- Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of UST sites.. <br /> 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 2.1. DRILLING AND SAMPLING <br /> A In a-letter dated 12 November 1997,the PHS-EHD recommended additional assessment of impacted- <br /> soil below ground water in the area of UST No. 8. Therefore, to assess the vertical,extent of <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted soil,AGE proposes to-advance.three soil probe borings (probing) to depths ; <br /> - of approximately 40 feet below surface grade (bsg). Probingsmay be advanced to greater depths or <br /> additional probings may be advanced based upon held observations, time permitting. The probiiigs <br /> will be advanced using AGE's Geoprobe soil probing unit. <br /> One soil probe boring will be advanced near the center of the former UST No. 8 excavation;a <br /> second probe boring will be advanced northeast of the former excavation; a third probe boring will <br /> t^ be advanced.within the.former repair shop;north of the former UST excavation. Proposed probing' <br /> locations are illustrated ori Figure 2. <br /> 2.2. EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION <br /> All-Geoprobe sampling tools and sample liners used for sample'collection will be thoroughly and <br /> doubly,rinsed with clean'tap water after washing with a solution of Alconox.
