INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr Jeffery Setness of Hartmann & Setness, Advanced <br /> ' GeoEnvâ–şronmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Quarterly Report summarizing field activities <br /> performed during the fourth quarter of 1995 at 423 North Madison Street in Stockton, California <br /> The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 -Location Map A plan of the site is illustrated in <br /> ' Figure 2 -Site Plait <br /> Field activities were performed in accordance with guidelines for the investigation of underground <br /> storage tank (UST) sites established by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVR.WQCB) and San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division <br /> ' (PHS-EHD) 1 <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 21 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The former Chase Chevrolet facility occupies the city block bounded by West Fremont Street, North <br /> Madison Street, West Lindsay Street and North Monroe Street Two large buildings and a parking <br /> cover are located at the site, which was the location of the Chase Chevrolet service center until 1994 <br /> ' 2 2 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> Four underground storage tanks, Tanks No 3, 4, 5 & 6, were removed by Falcon Energy Associates <br /> ' (FEA) in 1956 from a common excavation north of the repair shop Three additional USTs, Tanks <br /> No 1, 2 &8, were removed by FEA in 1992 from separate excavations to the west, east and south f <br /> of the repair shop, respectively Locations of the former USTs are illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> Hydrocarbon-impacted soil was encountered during removal of the USTs All seven USTs were <br /> reported as being in poor condition by the PHS-EHD An investigation of soil and ground water at <br /> ' the site was required by the PHS-EHD <br />
