`-' r/
1 November 1994
Ms. Linda Turkatte
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Department
P.O.Box 338
Stockton, CA 95201-0388
Re: Well/Boring Permit Application
521 North Cherokee Lane, Lodi, California
Site Code: 1324
Dear Ms. Turkatte:
Per our telephone conversation of this date, I am sending the well/boring permit application
for the CPT/Hydropunch assessment locations in the City of Lodi Right-of-Way near 521
North Cherokee Lane in Lodi, California. As we discussed, I am targeting December 1, 2,
and probably 3, 1994 to collect the data. Gregg drilling has penciled me in for these dates
and also for December 17, 18, and 19 if they are unable to free a rig for the earlier dates, 4
will contact you when the schedule is finalized.
It may not be possible, or necessary, to complete test points at each of the locations identified
in the workplan. It is my intention to allow qualitative field data to adjust the locations and
number of test points. Furthermore, it is my intention to use the CPT offsite to collect
lithology, aquifer characteristic, and chemical data; and onsite, to collect soil chemical data as
well as the previous. It is not possible to collect CPT, soil samples, and hydropunch samples
from the sample driven hole; therefore, each hole will be used to provide some combination
of the data (with a preference toward lithology, aquifer characteristics, and water chemistry).
Soil samples (where necessary) can be collected during the subsequent phase of boring/well
installation.
I would appreciate receiving your approval of the two pending permit applications. Once
agreement for access of the Hotel Del Rancho has been obtained, I will forward a copy of the
authorization letter and another permit application. If you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to leave a message for me at (916) 666-9315.
Scerely,
Dana W. Booth, R.G.
Attachment
cc: Mr. H.M. 'Cris' Hamilton
