„
to remove stagnant water in the wells
During purging, key parameters including temperature, conductivity, and
pH will be measured with a portable electronic meter and recorded The
purging will continue until the monitored parameters stabilize (usually
after 3 to 5 casing volumes of groundwater has been removed) Following
purging, groundwater samples will be collected with pre-cleaned Teflon
bailers and discharged with a non-aerating, bottom-emptying device into
sterilized glass containers, capped with Teflon septa, labeled, and chilled
in an ice chest for transport Attachment 5 describes Groundwater
Monitoring, Sampling, and Sample Management Procedures)
The proposed monitoring well will be surveyed relative to the existing
monitoring wells and a permanent structure, and from a designated point
on the northern side of the top of the well casing, the groundwater level
will be measured in the wells to an accuracy of i-0 01 foot and tied to the
California State Plane Coordinate System Zone 3 for this area as well as
provide latitude and longitude coordinates for the well head Vertical
coordinates will be tied to the nearest vertical datum in use, most likely
NAVD28 datum for this area or other local datum used by the city of Lodi
groundwater investigation effort
Task 8- Laboratory Analysis of Soil and Water Samples
Approximately 5 to 7 soil samples from each soil boring will be submitted
for analysis These samples will be submitted to Kiff Analytical for
analysis by USEPA Test Method 8260B Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene,
and xylene as well as 7 gasoline oxygenates/additives will be determined
by USEPA Test Method 8260B The selected oxygenates/additives that
will be analyzed for include ethanol (E), tertiary-butanol (TBA),
Di-isopropyl Ether(DIPE), Ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE),
tertiary-amyl methyl ether(TAME), methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE)
Lead scavengers will be analyzed and will include 1,2, Dichloroethane
(1,2-DCA) and 1, 2- Dzbromoethane (1,2-EDB)
At least two samples from the former UST tank area will be analyzed for
CAM-17 metals and soluble lead
The soil and water samples will be analyzed by Kiff Analytical LLC, as
California certified laboratory#2236
Mani\D\Envvonmental\ParmarTexaco\Workplan\042003 wpd 15
