(GZA) on behalf of Valley
Pacific Petroleum Services, Inc. (Valley Pacific) for the service station site (Site) at 930 Victor
Road in Lodi. Petroleum is stored at the Site in both underground and above ground storage
tanks. Valley Pacific performs groundwater monitoring pursuant to Monitoring and Reporting
Program (MRP) No. R5-2002-0827.
The reports reviewed are listed below:
• 23 January 2007 Semi-Annual Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling Report, Third
and Fourth Quarters 2006 (First Semi-Annual Report)
• 8 February 2007 Annual Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling Report 2006 (Annual
Report)
• 15 May 2007 Semi-Annual Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling Report, First and
Second Quarters 2007 (Second Semi-Annual Report)
In the First Semi-Annual Report, GZA describes groundwater monitoring and sampling
activities performed in July 2006 for the third quarter. Valley Pacific conducted no monitoring
activities during October 2006 for the fourth quarter due to an injury to the GZA technician. In
the Annual Report; GZP, summarizes groundwater monitoring and sampling activities
performed for the first, second, and third quarters of 2006.
During 2006, GZA observed that depth to groundwater (DTW) ranged from about 56 feet
below ground surface (bgs) during the first quarter to about 51 feet bgs during the third
quarter. Groundwater flow during the year was toward the southwest and southeast at
gradients ranging from about 0.006 feet per foot (ft/ft) to 0.025 ft/ft. The DTW observations
and gradient calculations are consistent with historical observations.
GZA conducted groundwater sampling in all wells during 2006, including MW-8 and MW-9R
when separate phase hydrocarbon (SPH) was absent from these wells.
