Mr. Jim Lancaster 4 February 2002
Woolsey Oil, Inc. 2
2. Groundwater Table 2, MW -1D analytical results did not include dissolved lead. Enclosed laboratory
sheets do verify the Report's non -detect text for dissolved lead. Please include all analyses in future
report tables.
3. The Report states that MW -8 was not sampled, due to a thin sheen of free product at the water table.
In accordance with Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP) No. 5-01-841, please sample MW -8 in
future quarterly groundwater monitoring, when the free product sheen disappears.
4. A new figure, with analytical results next to the associated monitoring well and contaminant
concentration contours, would be helpful in depicting graphically the groundwater plume. Please add
monitoring well analytical results and concentration contours to a new figure(s) in future reports.
5. The Report states that, after two quarterly rounds of sampling, MW -1D will be evaluated for a
recommendation to reduce the monitoring frequency or propose abandonment. MRP No. 5-01-841
requires addition of any new well to the quarterly schedule. We will consider revising the MRP when
requested.
If you have any questions, you may contact me at (916) 255-3050.
i
JAMES L.L.
