Mr Jeffrey Wong <br /> C A M B R I A February 23, 2006 <br /> wells MW-1 through MW-9, MW-11 through MW-15, P-1, and <br /> P-2 at depths ranging from 46 89 to 53 94 fbg on <br /> December 29, 2005 Blaine's well gauging data is included in <br /> Attachment C <br /> Soil Sampling Methods Cambria logged soil types using the Unified Soil Classification <br /> System and describes the encountered soils on the boring logs <br /> presented in Attachment D Cambria collected soil samples at <br /> 5-foot intervals for soil description, chemical analysis, and <br /> headspace analysis Cambria screened soil samples from the <br /> borings for the presence of organic vapors using a <br /> photo-ionization detector (PID) PID readings are recorded on <br /> the boring logs <br /> Soil Classification Soils encountered in the borings were consistent with soils <br /> encountered during previous investigations Silty sand (SM), <br /> sandy silt (ML), and sand(SP) were the predominant soil types <br /> encountered at varying depths and thicknesses to the total <br /> explored depth of 100 fbg <br /> • Chemical Analyses Selected soil samples from boring SB-6 were analyzed for fuel <br /> oxygenates (TBA, MTBE, di-isopropyl ether [DIPE], ETBE, and <br /> TAME) by EPA Method 8260B, and selected soil samples from <br /> well borings MW-12 through MW-15 were analyzed for TPHg, <br /> BTEX, fuel oxygenates, 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), and 1,2- <br /> dibromoethane (EDB) by EPA Method 8260B by State-certified <br /> Severn Trent Laboratories, Inc (STL) of Pleasanton, California <br /> Groundwater samples from all wells except MW-10 were <br /> analyzed for fuel oxygenates by EPA Method 8260B by STL <br /> Wells MW-4, MW-7, and MW-8 were also analyzed for nitrate <br /> and sulfate by ion chromatograph and methane by method RSK- <br /> SOP-175 by STL Wells MW-12 through MW-15 were also <br /> analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, 1,2-DCA, and EDB by STL <br /> Soil Disposal Cambria temporarily stockpiled soil generated during the field <br /> activities on site and profiled the soil for disposal (laboratory <br /> report is included in Attachment E) On December 17, 2005, <br /> Manley and Sons Trucking, Inc of Sacramento, California <br /> • transported the soil to Allied Waste Industries' Forward Landfill <br /> 6 <br />
