CAMBRIA
the relationship between vacuum and vapor flow rate for the wells After the short-term testing,
Cambria will conduct long-term SVE testing on one or more of the wells, depending on the
results of the short-term testing As previously discussed, the testing duration will be limited to
five days, in accordance with SJVAPCD regulations
A mobile SVE unit (Solleco 250TCat) will be used for testing It is equipped with a liquid-ring
pump as a vacuum source and thermal oxidizer to treat the extracted soil vapor Cambria will
measure the vapor extraction airflow rate, the applied vacuum at the wellhead, concentrations in
the vapor stream, and the vacuum influence in nearby wells periodically during the long-term
test
A Horiba HEXA J-senes hydrocarbon analyzer, calibrated to iso-butlylene, will be used to field
measure hydrocarbon concentrations in the extracted vapor stream A TSI model 8330 air
velocity meter will be used to measure vapor extraction velocity rates and temperature A
Thomas Industries vacuum pump will be used to collect the vapor samples Vapor samples will
be collected in one-liter Tedlar bags for laboratory analysis Magnehelic differential pressure
gauges will be used to measure the vacuum applied at the wellhead and induced in nearby wells
• Chemical Analyses: Selected vapor samples will be analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, and fuel
oxygenates by EPA Method 8260B
Report Preparation•Following the receipt of analytical results from the laboratory, Cambria will
prepare a written report, which will include field procedures, laboratory results, SVE test
findings, and conclusions
The scope of work described in this work plan will be performed under the supervision of a
registered geologist or professional engineer
SCHEDULE
In accordance with the schedule decided upon during our July 28, 2003 meeting with SJCEHD
and the RWQCB, the SVE well installations are scheduled for Setember 16 through 18, 2003
During the meeting, SJCEHD requested that the SVE test be scheduled by October 003 Due
to equipment and personnel availability, Cambna scheduled the SVE test for
October 6 through 10, 2003 The report summarizing the well installations and the SVE test will
be submitted by November 15, 2003
0955 6
