accordance with the approved Operation Plan. <br />Specifically, each hazardous waste storage area <br />shall have a continuous base that is impervious <br />to the waste stored, shall be designed and <br />constructed so that any spills can be contained, <br />and shall have sufficient capacity to contain <br />ten percent of the total volume of the tanks or <br />the volume of the largest tank, whichever is <br />greater. <br />b. In addition to the requirements of item (a) <br />above, outdoor uncovered containment areas shall <br />contain all surface water runoff, exclude all <br />surface water runon, and contain precipitation <br />from a 24-hour, 25 -year storm. <br />C. Spills, leaks, and precipitation shall be <br />promptly removed from the containment area to <br />prevent overflow in accordance with Section X of <br />the Operation Plan. <br />3. Operation <br />a. Hazardous wastes shall not be placed in a tank if <br />they could cause the tanks or its liner to <br />rupture, leak, corrode, or otherwise fail before <br />the end of its intended life. <br />b. Valves on hazardous waste storage tanks shall be <br />kept locked when the facility is unattended. <br />c. There shall be no underground tanks at the <br />facility. <br />D. Recycling Conditions <br />Operations and maintenance of the recycling system shall be <br />conducted in accordance with all sections of the approved <br />Operation Plan. <br />1.
