(b) For batch waste, any variation in piece <br />count such as a discrepancy of one drum <br />in a truckload. <br />(3) Significant discrepancies in type are <br />obvious differences which can be discovered <br />by inspection or waste analysis, such as <br />waste solvent for waste acid or toxic <br />constituents not reported on the manifest. <br />b. If the facility cannot legally accept the waste, <br />the owner or operator shall immediately notify <br />the Department of that fact, identify the <br />transporter and generator of the waste, and <br />refuse to accept the waste. If the owner or <br />operator can accept the waste, the owner or <br />operator shall note how the discrepancy was <br />resolved on the copy of the manifest submitted to <br />the Department and on the copy retained at the <br />facility. If the discrepancy is not resolved <br />within 15 days after receiving the waste, the <br />owner or operator shall immediately submit to the <br />Department a letter describing the discrepancy <br />and attempts to reconcile it and a copy of the <br />manifest at issue. <br />4. Unmanifested Wastes Received or Rejected <br />When the facility receives or rejects an unmanifested <br />load of hazardous waste, the owner or operator shall <br />prepare and submit a report to the Department within <br />15 days. The report shall include the following <br />information: <br />a. The EPA identification number, name, and address <br />of the facility receiving or rejecting the waste; <br />b. The date the facility received or rejected the <br />waste; <br />C. The EPA identification number, name, and address <br />of the generator and the transporter who <br />transported the waste; <br />d. The license number of the vehicles used to <br />transport the waste. This shall include the <br />license number of the tractor as well as the <br />trailers if appropriate; <br />e. A description and quantity of the received or <br />rejected load of hazardous waste; <br />f. For waste received, the method of treatment, <br />storage, or disposal for each hazardous waste; <br />-16- <br />
