26 September 2014
AGE Project No. 13-2675
EQUIPMENT DECO NTA MINATIO N/WASTE MANAGEMENT
Prior to use, all non-disposable sampling tools used for sample collection will be
thoroughly rinsed with clean water after being washed with a solution of Alconox. Any
soil or water waste generated during field activities will be containerized in properly
labeled DOT-approved 55-gallon drums, and stored on-site in an area lacking public
access. Disposal alternatives will be evaluated based on results of soil and water
analysis.
BORING ABANDONMENT
All soil borings will be permanently sealed to prevent vertical migration of potential
contaminants. Soil borings shall be abandoned by backfilling with cement grout from the
total depth to surface grade. Borings advanced below the groundwater table will be
abandoned with grout utilizing tremie procedures. The top three to six inches of the
boring abandonments will be completed flush to surface grade with native soils or
concrete. The SJCEHD will be notified for grout inspection at least 48 hours prior to
conducting grouting procedures.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact our office at
(800) 511-9300.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoE nv ironfm.e_q- .
;4Qo\PN 4 c
mQ N
No 8574
Brian W.
