Mr.Harlin Knoll Environmental
14 July 1999 Resources
,r Page 2
Management
At former UST 1, the concentration of TPH-g and BTEX compounds
detected in downgradient.well MW-1 were less than the concentrations
detected prior to ORC injection. However, the concentration of
compounds in MW-4 (located immediately downgradient of the former
UST) generally increased from the April sampling event (the most recent
sampling event prior to ORC injection). Consistent with.previous .
sampling results, the sample collected from MW-3 (located upgradient of
the former tank location) contained no detectable concentrations of
compounds.
At former UST 2, the concentration of TPH-g and BTEX compounds in
the downgradient wells (MW-2 and MW-6) were less than the
concentrations detected prior to ORC injection. As with previous
sampling results, the sample collected from MW-5 (located upgradient of
the former tank location) contained no detectable concentrations of
compounds.
In accordance With Investigation Results Report,.ERM will perform
another round of ground water sampling at the site in August to further
evaluate the concentration of chemicals in ground water following ORC
injection.
If you have any questions regarding the sampling results, please call me
at(925) 946-0455.
Sincerely,
Matt Brandy
ProJect Manager
MLB/mlb/3374.60
cc: Mr. Scott Krall, Heinz- Pittsburgh, PA
Mr. Mark List, CVRWCB
Ms. Margaret Lagorio,.SJCEHD
Mr. James F.
