Falcon Energy is licensed with the California High«ay Patrol, certified with
the U.S. Department of Transportation, and registered with the Department of Toxic Substances
Control to transport hazardous materials i hazardous waste. Until February 14, 1994 Falcon
Energy pOssessedt a General Engineering Contractors - A license with Hazardous Substance
Removal and Remedial Actions Certification.
On February 14, 1994 Falcon's qualifying partner left the company. As soon as possible after the
departure of the qualifying partner Falcon Enerby wrote to the Contractors State License Board
WSLB; and requested continuance of the license in order to complete work in progress. On
April 7, 1994, Falcon received a letter from The CSLB granting continuance of the license until
Febpjaiy 15, 1995, please see enclosed.
Currently Falcon Energy Personnel are in the process of applying for a new contractors license
with a Hazardous Substance Removal and Remedial Actions certificate. We expect that such
license and certificate will be obtained in the next three to four months. Until that time, however,
Faicon must continue to cpet=ite in order to cover overhead costs. We understand that the
company will be unable to continue providing services that require a contractors license until a
new license is issued, howevr.•, until that time, tine believe that certain types of work are
considered maintenance or janitorial and do not require a contractors license. Below, I have
outlined some oxanlples of work that we-feel can be provided without a contractors license. I
have reviewed this list with Mr. Mile Brown of your office and he concurred that items 1-6 below
do not require a Iicense.
Not included in the following references is construction. alteration, repair, demolition, or
excavation.
P.O.
