Page 1 of 1 x
1
Vicki McCartney [EH]
From: Ally Colavita [acolavita@advgeoenv.com]
Sent: Monday, March 03.;2008 11:47 AM
To: Nuel Henderson jEH]; Vicki McCartney [EH]
Cc: Bill; Art ; Robert Marty
Subject: Stefano's (1419 East Charter Way)
Attachments: Stefano's.boring logs.pdf
Hi Vicki and Nuel,
A cross section in the desired area of the site is not available. Several boring.logs depicting the ozone sparging
depths of the proposed ozone sparge wells are attached. As stated in the Work-Plan Addendum dated 19
November 2007,
The ozone sparging system resumed operation in April 2007 and since that time ground.water sample
results have not demonstrated any influence from the ozone system. Therefore, AGE recommends
additional remediation wells to provide adequate ozone injection influence. The proposed ozone sparging
points will be screened at the same depth as the existing monitoring wells in order to influence the known
contamination zone.
Proposed ozone wells will be installed to a depth of 50' bsg,,intersecting sands encountered between
approximately 45' and 50' bsg, which represents the interpreted first groundwater bearing zone. Existing ozone
sparge wells are injecting ozone at a deeper ground water bearing zone at approximately 58' to 62' bsg; above
this zone appears to be clays, which may prevent the existing ozone sparge wells from effectively remediating the
first groundwater bearing zone.between 30' and'50. bsg.
E Thank you for your time.
