2.0 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> ' The objectives of this phase of environmental corrective action were as follows <br /> • Evaluate if the plume of impacted groundwater threatens any potential sensitive receptors, <br /> • Define the lateral extent of impacted soil and groundwater, and <br /> • Expand the groundwater monitoring capability at the site <br /> To achieve these project objectives, Ramage Environmental <br /> • Surveyed sensitive receptors within 2,000-feet of the site, <br /> • Supervised the installation of four off-site groundwater monitoring wells, and <br /> • Monitored and sample the expanded groundwater monitoring well network <br />' 21 Planning and Permitting <br /> Prior to initiating fieldwork, a site-specific health and safety plan addendum was prepared <br /> according to 29 CFR 1910 120 The health and safety plan included safety procedures, chemical <br /> hazard information, site safety officers, and preferred medical emergency locations <br /> To perform the required work, drilling permits were obtained from PHSIEHD Since two of the <br /> monitoring wells were installed within the Sierra Nevada Street right-of-way, an encroachment <br /> permit was obtained from the city of Stockton Since two of the monitoring wells were installed on <br /> the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds, an access agreement was obtained from 2nd District <br /> Agricultural Association, San Joaquin County Fair Copies of the approved permits and access <br /> agreement are included in Appendix A <br /> tAs required by the permits, PHSIEHD the city of Stockton and the San Joaquin County Fair were <br /> notified to schedule construction and regulatory inspections Underground Service Alert (USA) <br /> was also notified so that member utilities could mark their underground facilities, under USA <br /> Ticket#291625 <br /> 8 <br /> r <br />
