11 November 2004
AGE-NC Prod ect No 03-1100
l ,
properly labeled, placed4m a chilled container, and transported under chain of custody to Cal Tech
' Environmental Laboratories, Inc (CTEL) for analysis The samples were analyzed for
Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified 'as gasoline (TPH-g) In accordance with EPA
1
Method 8015 Modified,
• Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) in accordance with EPA Method
8260B, and
• Fuel oxygenates methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), dl-Isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl
' tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE),tertiary-amyl methyl ether(TAME),tertiary butanol(TBA), 1,2-
dichloroethane(1,2-DCA),and ethylene dibromide(EDB)in accordance with EPA Method
8260B `
' 3.0. FINDINGS
Ground water elevation, flow direction, and gradient were determined from field data collected on
I 31 August 2004 The contaminant impact to ground water was quantified by laboratory analytical
data
'
3' 1 GROUND WATER GRADIENT AND FLOW DIRECTION
' - At the time of the August 2004 sampling event, depths to ground water ranged from 44 15 feet-to
45 60 feet below the tops of the well casings During this monitoring event, the ground water level
z In the wells was approximately 14 15 feet to 15 60 feet below the tops of the well screens,Indicating
' that the wells are screened properly and yielded representative shallow ground water samples
Ground water elevation at the site ranged from 24 69 feet below mean sea level (MSL) in well
' MW-7 to 25 27 feet below MSL in well MW-2 (Table 1) The ground water elevation at the site
decreased an average of 1 40 feet between the June 2004 and August 2004 monitoring events
' The ground water flow direction was inferred to be flowing Inward toward an elongated depression-
in the former UST location The hydraulic gradient averaged 0 01 foot/foot (ft/ft) or less Figure 3
' illustrates the contoured groundwater elevations as measured on 31 August 2004
F
I4, Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
E J >
