13 May 2004
AGE-NC Project No 03-1100
Y
' 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g was only detected in ground water samples collected from well MW-2 at a concentration of
' 200,000 micrograms per liter(tg/l) BTEX compounds were only detected in ground water sample
collected from well MW-2 at maximum concentrations of 2,000 gg/l (benzene), 14,000 ug/l
I (toluene), 4,000 µg/l (ethylbenzene) and 21,600 ptg/l (total xylenes), respectively
1,2-DCA was detected in ground water samples collected from wells MW-2 and MW-3 at
' concentrations of 14 gg/1 and 61 gg/l,respectively MTBE was not detected in ground water samples
collected from any of the analyzed samples No other constituents of concern were detected in the
ground water analyses at or above laboratory detection limits
' Analytical results of water samples collected during March 2004 are summarized on Table 2 The
laboratory report (CTEL Lab Project Number 214-0403031), QA/QC report and chain-of-custody
' form are included in Appendix B
t4.0 SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
IBased on the findings from this investigation, AGE concludes
• The ground water elevations on-site ranged from 42 53 to 43 99 feet below MSL Ground
' water flow was inferred to be flowing inwards towards an elongated depression in the former
UST location under 9 gradient of 0 03 feet/feet or less
t ,
• TPH-g was detected in samples collected from well MW-2 at a concentration of
' 200,000 µg/l
• 1,2-DCA was detected iii ground water samples collected from wells MW-2 and MW-3 at
I a maximum concentration of 61 µg11 in MW-3 MTBE was not detected at or above
laboratory reporting limits in any of the analyzed ground water samples
• The lateral extent of TPH-g impacted ground water has been defined to the northwest, west
' and southwest of the former UST area, but not toward the east
• The vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination has not be defined in the former
UST location
IAdvanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc
