Removal of contaminated soil is required when the soils are <br />deemed a source of contaminaiton and when action levels of contaminants <br />set by local and state agencies are exceeded. <br />Several alternatives may be available for handling the contaminated soil. <br />These include transportion and disposal at a hazardous waste landfill, <br />aeration of the soil in an on-site area or possible biodegradation of the <br />contaminated soils. <br />These actions will be reviewed with Robets Oil Company and evaluated prior <br />to inclusion in the remedial action plan and subsequent submittal for <br />approval by the appropriate agencies. <br />
