Ll 0 fSKTH ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES CORPOAATIO I January 13, 1997 94331 Ms Margaret Lagono San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division P O Box 388 Stockton, CA 95201-0388 Site Status Report October through December 1996 Holt Bros 1521 West Charter Way Stockton, California Site Code 1988 Dear Ms Lagorio Tlus letter report will serve to document monitoring and sampling activities from October through December 1996 at the subject site (Figure 1) Groundwater monitoring and sampling was conducted on December 6, 1996 Activities included monitoring fluid level elevations in the six groundwater monitoring wells, and sampling six groundwater monitoring wells for analysis of dissolved hydrocarbons and halogenated volatile organic compounds GROUNDWATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING Smith Technology Corporation personnel performed groundwater monitoring and sampling on December 6, 1996 Field work consisted of measuring depth to fluid levels and subjectively analyzing the water from wells MW 1R, MW2, MW3, MW4, MW5R2, and MW6 for the presence of sheen or floating product Well locations are shown on Figure 2 The depths-to-groundwater in the wells ranged from 16 46 to 18 88 feet below the top of the well casings, an average decrease in the water level of approximately 0 16 feet since the last monitoring event in July 1996 Groundwater monitoring data since December 1990 are summarized in Table 1 A potentiometric surface map for the December 6, 1996 monitoring event is presented on Figure 2 Groundwater beneath the site generally flows to the south-southwest at an average gradient of 0 006 feet per feet (approximately 31 7 feet per mile) A slight depression is seen In the vicinity of MW2 and MW3 Historically, groundwater elevation data has suggested an irregular w\943311quartiyAgr-1996 doc 1 1260 Graphics Drive Modesto,CA 95351-1502 (209)579-2221 Fax(209)579-2225 Engineering - Consulting - Remediation Construction
