The
Bridgeport Trails Development is a residential development planned for the property contiguous to
and east of the Oxychem/Simplot facility at 1904 Charter Way in Stockton. Five OxyChem/Simplot
monitoring wells are located on the Bridgeport Trails property, two of which must be abandoned due
to their location within proposed lots.
In the Work Plan, Geomatrix proposes to install nine temporary monitoring wells, sample the wells
for volatile organic compounds, fumigants, organochlorine pesticides, organophosphate pesticides,
triazine herbicides, chlorinated herbicides, and carbamate pesticides, and abandon existing
monitoring wells MW-12 and MW-14. Upon review of the monitoring data and collaboration with
Bridgeport Trails Development's consultant, his Environmental, Geomatrix proposes to provide a
plan identifying where long term monitoring wells will be positioned on the Bridgeport property,
which downgradient of the Oxychem/Simplot site.
Geomatrix should also analyze the groundwater for nitrate and ammonium, since these compounds
are also detected at concentrations of concern beneath this site.
The Work Plan is approved subject to the following condition:
• Samples from temporary monitoring wells shall be analyzed for nitrate and ammonium in addtion
to the listed analytical suites.
California Environmental Protection Agency
0 Recycled Paper
The energy challenge facing California is real.
