Charter Way, Stockton. The MRP requires that the existing monitoring wells,
and any wells added at a later date, be monitored for certain constituents on a three times per year
basis. It also requires that monitoring reports and an annual report be submitted to the Board. f
The MRP is the same as the draft Order sent to you in April 1996, except that monitoring has been
I.
reduced from quarterly to three tunes per year. We recognize that the responsible parties had asked
that an order not be issued; however, several factors have led!staff to believe that an order is
necessaryat this time. Amon the facto
rs are the late Third Quarter 1996 monitoring report, the
need to ensure the continued use of monitoring wells MW1-MW4, and the actual and potential 4
changes in personnel overseeing the cleanup.
The MRP is a formal Board Order, and failure to comply with its provisions could lead to #
,enforcement action. If you have any questions, please contact Wendy Wyels at (916) 255-3104.
I`
JAMES B NNETT
Int im Executive Officer
Enclosure
F
cc w/enc: Mr. Patrick Garrity, Oxychem, Niagara Falls
Mr. Erik Friedrich, TreaTek-CRA, Stockton j
Mr. James DeMera, Mullen, Sullivan & Newton, Lodi
Ms. Diane Shell, Orinda
Mr. Paul Baiestracci, Neumiller & Beardslee, Stockton i
Mr. Richard Moskitis, Page, Polin, Busch, BoatwriCght, San Diego
Mr. Tim Souther, Geomatrix, Fresno
Mr. Mike Infurna, San Joaquin County Environmental Health, Stockton '
I
