05 December 1995
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0178.
3:7. ' WELL SURVEY
Two municipal water wells are located within 2,000 feet of the site. The exact location of the wells
was obtained by phone interviews with the California W ter Service Company. One well is located
onthe southwest corner of the intersection of Charter Way and B Street. A second well is located
approximately 1/4 mile south of the site, on the southeas .corner of B Street and Fourth Street. No
r other water wells are known to be in the immediate area.
_
4.0..- CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMAI NDATK NS
4.1 HYDROCARBON-HAPACTED SOIL `
Approximately 90 cubic yards of impacted soil were remo ed from the former UST area. Subsurface
soil samples collected from the area around the-former UST indicate that no additional hydrocarbon-
impacted soil is present., A site closure is warranted and therefore recommended fol this facility.
4.2 STOCKPILED.SOIL
The most recent sampling of the stockpiled soil indicates tf at only a very low concentration of TPH-d
is still remaining in one of the stockpiles. Based on this low concentration, it is unlikely that the
remaining hydrocarbons in the stockpiled soil pose a sig 'ficant environmental concern: -.
LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care-and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar.localities. The findings were based upon
' analytical results provided by an independent laboratory, Evaluations of the geologic/hydrogeologic
conditions at•the site for the purpose-of this investigation are made frons a,limited number of available
data points(i.e. monitoring wells, soil borings) and-subsurface conditions may vary away from these
data points. No other -warranty, either expressed or implied, is made as to.the professional
recommendations:contained in this report.
